How to Care for Polymer Clay Earrings

Keep Them Dry
Remove polymer clay earrings before showering, swimming, exercising or sleeping. Although cured clay is durable for normal wear, repeated exposure to water, heat and moisture can affect attached findings, surface finishes and decorative details.
Avoid Perfume, Oils and Chemicals
Apply perfume, hairspray, moisturiser and make-up before putting on your earrings. Hand sanitiser, household cleaning products and other chemicals should also be kept away from the jewellery. These substances may dull surfaces or affect gold-plated elements over time.
Clean Gently
For light marks, use a soft, clean and slightly damp cloth, then dry the earrings immediately. Avoid abrasive pads, harsh cleaners and prolonged soaking. Decorative finishes, painted details, gold leaf and resin-coated areas should always be treated gently.
